JOURNALISTS - Elvira Lindo
Hopefully future journalists to rebel. Hopefully, despite facing a complicated scenario intuit that journalism today is more necessary than ever before and are aware that the media, engulfed with politicking, they are ignoring these anonymous stories that define the strange times we are experiencing. Would that not be cynical, to exert a relentless criticism against these little characters that have long flooded the screens and have served only to spread the belief that it is legitimate to make money without making the least effort. Would that not be gentle and not get carried away by this poisonous stream consists of going to press conferences to take notes without question. Would that be so honored as to political distrust paid trip making them part of his court. Hopefully they understand that the best journalist, contrary to the practice so common in Spain, is staying away from power, not the one who boasts of being in the mix. I wish to defend the dignity of his office and who aspire to be professional and not eternal amateurs. Hopefully that have the necessary self to give more than asked, and not do it for the environment but for themselves. Hopefully they understand that in this economy is going to change the lives of several generations is necessary to give voice to the forgotten and only a good journalist can do. Given the precariousness of employment, docility is tempting, but hopefully not to be obedient, because apart from the invasion of the pundits, who freely extol (exalt) the minds of the citizens, we need information. Hopefully there is a new generation battling to prove that journalism is still alive, that maybe we are a bit dead we are.
